Poetry in the Summer: a Workshop aims to empower young poets, equip them with literary tools to bring their poetry to the next level, expose them to poets from around the world and from different times in history, explore how a poet’s environment shapes their work, and encourage all participants to embrace their own, unique voices. 

 

Poets should expect to come away with more knowledge of what poetry is and the people who create it, a stronger handle on literary technique, an improved ability to draw artistic inspiration from their own lives, and a better understanding of their individual voices.
